To mark the retirement of Director, Úna McCarthy we have selected a number of works for this exhibition, Director’s Cut. The eclectic range of work, which focuses primarily on painting but also includes sculpture, drawings and ceramics. A significant number of works are by locally based artists who sit cheek by jowl with national and international artists. Over the last ten years, Limerick City Gallery of Art has acquired several works of art mainly from exhibitions that have been held here over that period. The exhibition also includes work donated to the Collection by both artists and collectors for which we are very thankful.
