Tom Ormond: Wildlife Encounters Through the Lens
Tuesday 3 March – Friday 8 May 2026
Meath County Council Arts Office presents Wildlife Encounters Through the Lens, an exhibition of work by award winning photographer Tom Ormond. This exhibition showcases the variety and beauty of some of the birds and animals that award-winning photographer Tom Ormond has encountered along his way.
Tom Ormond took up nature photography a few years ago, and since then he has had some of the most amazing experiences both observing and photographing wildlife.
Whether it’s puffins on the Great Saltee Islands or mountain hares in the Cairngorms, his interest in both nature and photography has combined to allow him to capture these images and the memories associated with them.
Half of the images in this exhibition were photographed in his garden near Ratoath in Co. Meath and the other half were photographed further afield in Ireland and the Scottish Highlands.
