Cookies make your visit to the site smoother – but we don’t collect any personal information about you by means of those cookies.

Contact

If you contact Dnote by email, e.g. by  using the Contact page, we get your email address. We will use your email to respond to you, and we may – very occasionally – use your email to inform you of something relevant to you and Dnote.

Analytics etc.

The site does not use Google Analytics. Some traffic information is kept, but it is purely internal and no information is shared to third parties.

Retention

Most cookies on this site expire with the end of the user’s session. Emails (if you contact us) probably hang around in our mail program for a few years. When you unsubscribe from the Dnote newsletter, your email address is not retained by us.

Our site is hosted in Ireland. EU “Member States [must] ensure that communications providers retain data as specified in the Directive for a period of between 6 months and 2 years” – Data Retention (Wikipedia); so this would include recording the IP address from which you are connected to any server in the EU … in theory…

GDPR

As far as we are aware, Dnote is GDPR-compliant. But please get in touch if have any questions / issues.
