pROject spAce: miscellänea

SETU Waterford Visual Art Programme and GOMA Waterford are delighted to collaborate on pROject spAce: miscellänea, an experimental exhibition undertaken by third-year students.
pROject spAce: miscellänea is rooted in the core themes of the adjoining modules key to year three of the programme: Research Becoming Object and Object Becoming Art. These sequential and connected learning components serve as guides for the student artists as they navigate the transformative and evolutionary process inherent in artistic practice, progressing from research to the exploration of intimate connections with materials and objects, and ultimately, to the realisation of art.
The exhibition concept centres on miscellanea (noun), a collection of several things grouped together as a whole. In this experiment, student artists bring developed works and installations into the gallery as an accumulation of their research, objects, and art. This approach highlights the interconnectedness of such elements while serving as a reflective platform for the themes and methodologies explored in the two modules.
The exhibition invites playful and insightful explorations of the shifting states of artistic practice.
Exhibiting student artists: Alanna Doyle, Eimear Power, Rionach McCafferty, Daire Dowling, Callum Mernagh, Sadhbh Daly, Adam McEvoy, Diane Vakal, Aoibh Flynn, Ciara Meagher, Charles Jacob, Erin Slattery.
