GOMA Gallery of Modern Art Waterford, formerly known as SOMA Contemporary Gallery, is dedicated to innovation, and interpretation of modern and contemporary art, through the use of educational initiatives and collaborations.

“GOMA aims to engage with both a local and national audience. Our mission is to foster within a society, an awareness, understanding and involvement in the visual arts through policies and programmes which are excellent, innovative and inclusive.” GOMA Waterford is run under the management of Sandra Kelly and Jenna Whelan since November 2015.

It is important for GOMA Waterford to set realistic aims and objectives. GOMA aims to give both artists and the participating public freedom to take risks in a space that allows the discovery and development their talents.
