Brendan Cahill: Opportunity, digital collage, 2026 | Mind the Gap | Saturday 27 June 2026 | The Source Arts Centre | Brendan Cahill: Opportunity, digital collage, 2026 | photographic piece; we see a crow / raven / … standing on the platform of a train station, specifically Limerick Junction; its face has transformed into the front of an airplane, its legs into the landing gear for same; black birds fly behind, against a threatening sky; some suggestions of land, but in negative; bottom left, in orange pixellatd letters against a black background, all at a tilt, we read ‘Please, mid the gap’ as so often announced by Iarnród Éireann

Mind the Gap is a collaborative installation project that explores suspended emotions in places defined by leaving.

Images of waiting areas, departure platforms and strangers lost in transit between their ambitions and reality present mutual points of connection for shared feelings of uncertainty.

Led by a newly formed group of local multidisciplinary creatives, this exhibition highlights “a growing need for third spaces so that artists and intermediaries can work, collaborate and feel more involved in their communities.”

Artists include: Jennifer Ryan Kelly, Cian Laffey, Maeibh Sheehan, Fíne Holohan, Róisín Mogridge, Darragh Heston, and Brendan Cahill
