RUA RED is pleased to present the Winter Open Show in Gallery 1, an annual exhibition of work from artists throughout the whole island of Ireland, chosen from an open submission call.

A panel of curators have selected the work of 31 artists, and from amongst these now have the job of selecting the winner of the RUA RED Winter Open Prize, who will be awarded a solo show in Gallery 2 to take place in 2017.

Our visiting public also have the chance to vote for their favourite participating artist, the winner of which will win the People’s Choice Award, sponsored by the Square Shopping Centre. The winner of this award, now in its third year, will receive a cash prize of €1000.

At this years exhibition you will discover a wide range of artworks including sculptures, floor pieces, stunning photography work and exceptional prints, drawings and paintings.

Previous exhibiting artists include Kevin Lindsay, Mary Burke, Tom Climent, Richard Forrest, Aisling McGovern, Ciara McMahon, Aoife O’Donnell, Conor O’Donnell and Oisín O’Brien.
