Waterford Women’s Creative Cocoon Art Exhibition | Tuesday 17 August – Saturday 18 September 2021 | Garter Lane Arts Centre
――― In venue ―――

Waterford Women’s Creative Cocoon is a network of women’s groups across Waterford City and County. With over 220 members since its inception in April 2020, the groups take part in creative projects, education and wellbeing programmes while forging friendships and support networks across their communities. Many activities took place throughout lockdown through online programmes and home delivery kits.

This was a time in our history that was both unfamiliar and challenging. Yet despite these difficulties creativity flourished, and the fruits of our guided painting programme can be seen through 70 pieces of exquisite art on display here in Garter Lane Arts Centre.

Groups participating in this exhibition include Tallow Ladies Social Club, Deise Women’s Shed, Kilmacthomas Wacky Wednesday Women’s Group, Portlaw Women’s Group, Sudanese Ladies Group, Lismore “No Limits”, Passage East Arts & Crafts Group, Blackwater Ladies Social Group and Cappaquin “New Beginnings” Group.

Waterford Women’s Creative Cocoon is supported through Waterford Wexford ETB and Waterford Area Partnership (WAP). This exhibition is a collaboration between WWETB, WAP and Garter Lane Arts Centre.
