An Exhibition celebrating Ashbourne 1820 – 2020
Ashbourne Historical Society was founded in 1994 with the aim of promoting interest and pride in our local history and to record, archive and share that heritage with others.
Our monthly meetings are informal with exchanges of information, ideas and opinions. Other meetings take the form of talks by our members or invited speakers. We have also been privileged to have had the opportunity to interview many of the older residents of Ashbourne.
Over the years we have completed many projects but none of these would have been possible without the generosity of those who have shared their knowledge, memories and photographs with us and to whom we are very grateful. We hope to continue collecting stories of the past as a legacy for future generations.
