Susan Mannion: Water Memory

Saturday 30 November 2019 – Friday 31 January 2020
Susan Mannion: Water Memory | Saturday 30 November 2019 – Friday 31 January 2020 | Roscommon Arts Centre

Susan Mannion is the recipient of the 2019 Roscommon Visual Artists Forum Award. In this exhibition, Susan combines her artistic practice with her archaeological knowledge and landscape reading abilities to create a new body of work as she draws upon the mythology of water sources in Ireland, the alchemy of copper enamelling and her love of wild swimming. She has created a large-scale enamel piece of over fifty component parts to give the impression of a watery surface across the gallery wall space. Originally from Omagh, Susan is now currently based in Boyle in the west of Ireland where she is a print-maker and copper enamellist.
