There will be a limited number of slots for solo or group projects in 2019 that will be chosen from open submission applications. Follow link and download pdf for further details.
Artist in Residence Programme
Sirius Arts Centre has been developing its Artist in Residence programme since 1994. This programme receives some funding from the Arts Council and Cork County Council and is well recognised internationally. The residency programme is designed to offer artists the opportunity to research and develop their practices and to engage in dialogue with Sirius, other organisations in Cork and the surrounding community.
Residents stay in a beautiful, two/three-bedroomed basement apartment in the Sirius Arts Centre’s building, located on the waterfront in the centre of Cobh, twenty minutes by train from Cork City. The residency provides a residential and work space to visual artists, either as individuals or groups.
The call for submissions for 2019 is now open and will close on Friday 15 June 2018 at 5pm. Follow link and download pdf for further details.
Music Residency Programme
In 2017 Sirius Arts Centre launched a new international residency programme specifically for composers and musicians. Please note – Sirius does not provide recording facilities or sound equipment. An upright piano is available. Applicants from outside of Ireland are strongly encouraged.
