Working primarily in large scale sculptural installations and public works, Lyons is often inspired by vast landscapes and the appearance of utilitarian infrastructures within them. Her work derives from a consideration of how these material infrastructures might be perceived in a distant future or by a people for whom science is not the central focus of the day.

Since graduation from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin in 2007, Lyons has exhibited broadly throughout Ireland and been the recipient of many residential awards. Most recently Lyons’ work has been exhibited as part of Repoman at the Kerlin Gallery and the 181st Annual Exhibition at the RHA. Lyons is a recipient of the Visual Artist Bursary Award 2011 from the Arts Council of Ireland.
