Roscommon Arts Centre Open Call
Roscommon Arts Centre’s Open Call is designed to be highly accessible to artists from early / mid career, emerging artists and recent graduates to established practitioners. Successful artist’s work will be presented in Roscommon Arts Centre’s new gallery where the focus will be on artistic quality and vision. Artists should demonstrate their potential with the quality of their work, and their ambition to challenge and test their practice in the public realm in their applications.
Submissions from visual artists are now sought and the successful applicants will populate the 2020 visual arts programme. Solo, 2-person, collaborative and group exhibitions will be considered, and we welcome projects / bodies of work that are completed/near completion, or work in progress with clearly expressed outcomes, across all contemporary visual art forms. Artists/ applicants will receive an artists fee / production budget, publicity and other supports. Artists are asked to include in their proposal an outreach aspect which considers different audiences/communities of interest, such as but not limited to: events, workshops, talks, performances, and accompanying texts.

Roscommon Arts Centre has a range of AV equipment that can be used at no cost (please email us for an equipment list).
€1500 towards artists fee and production budget.
Curatorial support from curator in residence, Linda Shevlin.
A commissioned text by the visual art writer in residence and a small publication.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
Apply by sending a project description (up to 500 words), a curriculum vitae (no more than 2 A4 pages), an estimated budget, and up to 10 images and / or links to audio / visual works. Submit all materials via WeTransfer (www.wetransfer.com) to linda@lindashevlin.com. The total application submission should not exceed 10MB.
Although artists living throughout Ireland are invited to apply, applications from artists living or from County Roscommon will be welcomed.
