Remote Photo Exhibition
Reception Friday 12 May at 7pm
This year sees the second edition of Remote Photo, the festival dedicated to photographers creating work in a remote or rural context. Based in cool Donegal (thanks to National Geographic), the festival is an invitation to the photographic community to come together in a unique location, away from the usual distractions of large urban areas, but with its own bedrock of resilient artistic endeavour.
This year the RCC will host a major Irish group exhibition, showcasing the most exciting talent the island has to offer. Taking it further, we’ll have an exhibition from the illustrious School of Photography MFA programme at Ulster University, whose students are tutored by the likes of Donovan Wylie, Paul Seawright, KayLynn Deveney and Martin Parr. The exhibition programme will be completed by the shortlisted entrants to our two competitions. Entrants can submit a series of images from one project, or individual shots.
