Solomon Fine Art, in conjunction with the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCoI), Irish Design 2015 (ID2015) and The Doyle Collection, are pleased to announce the launch of PORTFOLIO @ Solomon, a dedicated design & craft gallery to coincide with the ID2015 programme. The new 60m2 gallery space is located at the main entrance to The Westbury Hotel and Westbury Mall on Balfe Street, just a few steps from Solomon Fine Art’s existing gallery and a stone’s throw from Grafton Street.

The inaugural exhibition at PORTFOLIO @ Solomon will focus on CERAMICS, presenting over eighty innovative artworks by twenty different makers, including Jack Doherty, Andrew Ludick, Mandy Parslow, Alison Kay and Nuala O’Donovan. PORTFOLIO Ceramics will span across the two adjacent Solomon gallery venues and will run from Friday 30th January to 14th March 2015. A twelve month programme of exhibitions in the new PORTFOLIO @ Solomon gallery will showcase work from the Design & Craft Council of Ireland’s PORTFOLIO programme, featuring over 100 of Ireland’s most renowned designers and makers in the following disciplines: Ceramics, Jewellery, Glass, Metals, Paper, Textiles, Calligraphy, Furniture, Woodturning and Basketry. All artworks on display in PORTFOLIO @ Solomon will be available to purchase, providing visitors and collectors with a unique opportunity to acquire one-off or limited edition pieces from internationally collected and emerging practitioners working to the highest standards of design quality and technical skill.
