Irish contemporary painter Peter Cleary has lived, studied and exhibited in many places around the world. Now returned to his native Ireland after a spell as lecturer at Bergen University’s Department of Contemporary Art, he currently lives and works in County Galway.

Paintings of tree-filled landscapes which evoke memories of his former Scandinavian home have now been joined by a new series of works triggered by his return to Ireland’s West.

This is Peter Cleary’s first solo exhibition at Hillsboro Fine Art.
