Public art can be rural or urban, temporary or permanent. The Per Cent for Art Scheme is a government initiative whereby a percentage of capital budgets is set aside to commission public artworks. Per Cent for Public Art: A Forum is an invitation to discuss and examine the reality and future of public art in Ireland through this scheme.
Keynote Speaker: Sara Reisman, Director of Percent for Art, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
Speakers include: Maggie Bolt, UK public art consultant; Michael Fortune, artist; Jenny Haughton, independent advisor; Ann Lane, author; Sarah Searson, co-editor publicart.ie and Gaynor Seville, Co Mayo Percent for Art public art programme and County Art Collection Manager.
