In January 2019  artist Mick O’Kelly in collaboration with VISUAL will examine what it takes to produce and present art in a public gallery space like VISUAL. The artist invites the public to witness the repair and painting of  VISUAL’s Main Gallery  post exhibition and to take  part in conversations about artistic labour and the value of the cultural institution.

These timely discussions take pace as VISUAL enters into its 10th anniversary year; a year that will focus on and celebrate the institution and the labour involved in maintaining it as an open and dialogically situation for art and the public.
