Marie Hanlon: Water Table
Saturday 3 February – Sunday 25 March 2018
Dublin based Marie Hanlon uses water as a catalyst throughout her upcoming exhibition. Utilising a mixture of sculptural elements, Marie will create an art installation that addresses the notion of water as both a precious resource and an environmental threat. Hanlon combines elements of perspex and water and brings environmental and political dimensions to her practice, balancing the formal qualities of the material she employs. Hanlon is a History of European Painting and English graduate of University College Dublin and has worked as a professional artist since 1990. She is a member of Aosdána.
Marie Hanlon’s exhibition runs simultaneously with and is complemented by an exhibition by artist Bernadette Kiely.
