Larry MacAree: Still Livin’ | Thursday 1 September – Friday 21 October 2022 | Atypical Gallery

For the months of September and October the Atypical Gallery will host the wonderful Larry MacAree, our featured visual artist for the Bounce Arts Festival 2022. The exhibition is an interactive, immersive and rich journey through Larry’s life; his art, his voice, his stuff, Lego, photos, action men, and collages. You will encounter Larry’s particular way of navigating visually through the world, documenting as he goes.

“It’s an exhibition about my life. I’ve always been an artist for a long time. I’m related to an artist, thousands of years back.” (Larry MacAree)

Join us for the launch of Still Livin’, a new solo exhibition by artist Larry MacAree. Larry was one of four artists who won the Chris Ledger Legacy Award in 2021. The Chris Ledger Legacy Awards were designed to support the creativity of D/deaf, disabled and neurodiverse artists and to celebrate the life of the former Chief Executive of the University of Atypical for Arts and Disability.
