Opening Reception Thursday 15 September at 6pm

A group show of emerging artists in Basic Space, Vicar Street on the 15th of September.

The exhibition showcases work that the 16 artists have made during six weeks of intensive studio practice in the space itself, which was founded and is run by members of the group. The artists, all students or recent graduates of NCAD, have been working together, sharing knowledge and skills, and are delighted to have the opportunity to show their work under their own initiative, without recourse to the commercial or public gallery systems.

Basic Space is a non-profit experiment, which is run on the enthusiasm and the talent of those with the interest and dedication to get involved. The size and versatility of the warehouse space allows for the realization of virtually any project, and the artists exhibiting in Host have made attempts to capitalise on the unique possibilities offered by its particular scale and aesthetic.
