A new Exhibition by the five artists from Creative Collective

Each artist has responded to the concept of ‘Holding things’ using various contemporary art processes, including painting, textiles, sculpture, drawing, and installation. The artists’ individual interpretations of ‘holding things’ touches on themes of memory through emotional connections with loved ones, childhood landscapes and gestures of care. Other themes focus on the tactile response to making work, with artists discovering inner strength through the evolving process of creativity, exploring, reflecting and thinking while creating work through painting and sculpting.

Creative Collective are Angela Velazquez, Lena Willryd, Denise Cruickshank, Maggie McCartney and Irene O’Neill, all working from their studios in Dublin. This is the collective’s sixth time to exhibit together.
