Artists: Annika Berglund, Hugh Cummins, Mary A. Fitzgerald, David Fox, Conrad Frankel, Nickie Hayden, Eoin Mac Lochlainn, Miriam McConnon, Sheila Naughton, Bart O’Reilly, Yanny Petters, Kelly Ratchford and Vicky Smith.

Artists have been asked to respond to their favourite artworks from three Dublin museums: IMMA, The National Gallery of Ireland and The National Museum of Ireland. The show will constitute an eclectic assemble of tributes to old masters and more contemporary icons: Titian, Caravaggio, Vermeer, Harry Clarke, Paul Henry, Jack B. Yeats, Mainie Jellet, Eileen Gray, Sol LeWitt, Patrick Scott, Willie Doherty, Gillian Wearing and Joseph Walsh.

The exhibition constitutes a celebration of Irish heritage and contemporary art and -we hope- an accessible way for new audiences to connect with these artistic giants through fresh, contemporary interpretations. ‘Ode to Giants’, promises to be a highlight of Dublin Gallery Weekend 2025 for both seasoned art lovers and newcomers alike.
