GOMA Studio Artists: Engrams
Thursday 16 June – Saturday 27 August 2022
An engram is a physical trace of memory within the brain…
Engrams is an exhibition of works from the GOMA studio artists and is a response to their experience of isolation and resilience throughout the past two years of the pandemic.
Engrams is an expression of the crisis of one of the major social upheavals of our time and is an opportunity to reflect on our collective experience through the arts.
Covid-19 severely affected the cultural sector. Many artists and creatives lost months of work or income. Throughout all this time, the mission of GOMA has remained unchanged; we exist to provide and promote a creative hub, visibility, and to facilitate the collaboration of arts, culture and community.
Participating artists: Ruth Flynn, Joseph Fogarty, Ben Hennessy, Anne McDonnell, Enda Moran, Christine O’Brien, Seamus O’Brien, Emer Powell, Una Walsh and Jena Wade.
