From a studio overlooking the River Liffey in Dublin, Fuchsia MacAree makes illustrations for books, newspapers, advertising campaigns, events and packaging. Her work often ends up as murals, screen prints and risograph prints. She has appeared in exhibitions and publications worldwide. Her drawings are often playful, colourful and character based, and she is interested in awkward moments, human interaction, Irish oddities, simplified shapes and strong colours.

She has worked on a wide variety of projects with clients including Facebook, Google, Mercedes-Benz, Airbnb, Patagonia, Greenpeace and many others. In 2018 she illustrated the bestselling Great Irish Weather Book with Gill Books. She is a member of the Illustrators Guild of Ireland and is a part-time tutor in Illustration in NCAD.
