Frequencies 2013 | Eve Olney: Imaging a Living Archive
Wednesday 28 August 2013
Wednesday 28 August, 1 – 2pm
Dr. Eve Olney will discuss reconceptualizing the idea of the archive in relation to everyday experience. By engaging in an experimental ethnographic study of the NSF as a ‘living archive’, Olney replaces conventional classificatory systems by meaning found within the ‘axis of social relations’.
Dr. Eve Olney is an academic and media practitioner who explores her subjects through media-practice led experimental ethnographic technique. Her current field of interest involves cultivating alternative methodological approaches to understanding archives and archival knowledge.
