We are delighted to present our inaugural city-wide exhibition of children’s art. Following a call-out to children aged from junior infants to 2^nd class throughout the Dublin City Council areas inviting them to enter Hugh Lane Gallery’s children’s art competition on the theme of What I Love About the Great Outdoors!, 52 beautiful artworks from close to 500 entries have been selected for display. The judges were Jessica O’Donnell, Head of Education and Community Outreach, Hugh Lane Gallery; and artists Liliane Puthod and Jane Fogarty. The children’s work is on view at the Hugh Lane Gallery until 2 October 2022. We were very impressed by all the entries received and the immense creativity, imagination and sense of fun expressed by the children in interpreting this theme. We would like to extend a warm thanks to all of the children who entered and to their teachers.
