Emily McFarland & Frank McGrath: Extravagant History | Wednesday 4 April – Monday 30 April 2012 |

Opening Reception Wednesday 4 April at 6:30pm

This joint exhibition is a culmination of research based work created whilst undertaking a two month artist residency at Belmont Mill and Artist Studios. Extravagant History traces how Irish history has turned on a variety of axes or ‘turning points’ beyond the accounts of high politics. In acknowledging the profound changes that have occurred in the recent years in relation to the economic downturn the exhibition examines new approaches to Irish identity that further enrich our understanding of our broader narrative
