Bureau for Creative Communities is a month long research residency which will map the creative well-being of Bray. Using the gallery as a our health monitor centre we will explore, map and activate ideas in our intention to contribute to the artistic health of our town. Research will include invitations to the people of Bray to join us to create, discuss and suggest well-being poultices for sore spots and preventative remedies for creative blocks.
Are you involved in the Creative Arts in Bray? Do you attend/give/teach workshops? If so, we want to hear from you! Do you hide your talents at home? Creative Arts includes Architecture, Craft, Circus, Dance, Film, Literature, Music, Opera, Street Arts and Spectacle, Textiles, Theatre, Traditional Arts, Visual Arts and Writing.
Drop into the Mermaid Arts Centre on Tuesday 30 July and Thursday 1 August from 11am to 4pm and help us map the creativity of Bray and even print your own tote bag while you are here! Can’t make those days? Email creativebray@gmail.com or call box-office and make an appointment to come and have a chat with us at a time that suits.
