Dublin Art Book Fair

Thursday 19 November – Sunday 22 November 2015
Dublin Art Book Fair | Thursday 19 November – Sunday 22 November 2015 | Temple Bar Gallery & Studios

Temple Bar Gallery + Studios is delighted to present the fifth edition of the Dublin Art Book Fair.

The Dublin Art Book Fair offers the latest art, photography and related books published internationally and in Ireland by small arthouse and self-publishers.

It aims to offer a succinct snapshot of contemporary art publishing and book design worldwide. This year we are excited to announce that we will be partnering with the Year of Design – Irish Design 2015 and we will be putting a particular emphasis on integrating design and craft as a significant component of the fair.

Running for the past four years, the fair features a range of publications from invited publishers and publishing houses, as well as an open submission artist’s books and zines area. In addition to offering books from over 50 international and national publishers the fair will boast a comprehensive collection of aesthetically focused literature and unique one-off editions including everything from photography, graphic design, sculpture and painting to curation, politics and philosophy.

The fair is a platform for artist’s books as an artform in themselves and aims to champion the book and the myriad design elements of book-making and reading through a series of events.

We will run an extensive series of ancillary events alongside the fair to include a specially commissioned wall piece by artist Miranda Blennerhassett, a book design panel discussion, book signing by Miriam Elia, showcase of exciting new furniture design, a political debate, a lecture on design and Irish society by Dr. Linda King, a contemporary music concert, a bookbinding workshop by Read That Image, book display and discussion by New Dublin Press and a pop-up café by The Market Kitchen featuring produce all sourced locally.
