With recent acquisitions of photographs and drawings for the Collection of Limerick City Gallery of Art, the delicacy and strength of drawing alongside the subtlety and transporting power of the photograph are placed side by side in this first celebration of the depth of the Collection of Limerick City Gallery of Art in 2013. With works by Niamh O Malley and Brendan Earley alongside photographic work by Andrew Kearney and Sean Lynch, the recent acquisitions of Michael Coleman and Eamonn O Mahony’s sequence of Georgian Limerick photographs, viewers can enjoy this quietly authoritative display of the works of Limerick’s municipal Collection.
