DIT BA Photography Graduate Exhibition
Opening Reception Tuesday 4 June at 6pm
The 2013 BA Photography graduate exhibition features the photographic projects of twenty one students. It is a diverse collection of photographic work representing the culmination of four years of study on the BA Photography programme at the Dublin Institute of Technology.
‘In a world where the rapid circulation of predominantly photographic images reaches such volumes and the viral transmutation of the visual is now distributed, commonplace and everyday, why do we still ask our graduates to hang images on walls in public spaces?’
This question, posed by Martin McCabe in his contribution to the 2013 catalogue, should provide its own answer if you join us on-site at both venues to see a selection of the best new emerging practitioners in the field of Irish photography.
The exhibition will be opened by Dr. Luke Gibbons, Professor of Irish Literary and Cultural Studies at the School of English, Drama and Media Studies, National University of Ireland, Maynooth
