Darran McGlynn: Leaves Ground
Leaves Ground is a newly commissioned body of work which presents a careful use of text and craftsmanship to explore our relations with our surrounds. Bringing together materials as diverse as marble, neon, fossils and fabrics, Leaves Ground is an investigation into the nature of time, transience, and the balancing of opposing forces.
Darran McGlynn is an artist and sculptor living and working in Galway where he is based at Artspace Studios. His multifaceted practice incorporates sculpture, installation, text and various printed media. Notable group shows include Horse, Void, Derry in 2015 curated by Mark Wallinger and Maoliosa Boyle.
