Sound Installation • Saturday 11 January 10am–6pm

Found (Lost at Sea) 11.1.11 is the title of a sound installation by Danny McCarthyand will be presented by the Crawford Art Gallery, Cork on 11th. January from 10am to 6pm during which time it will sound intermittently.

The work was created as a result of the Artist’s interest in acoustic ecology and commemorates the loss of the sound of the foghorns from Irish Lighthouses and the Irish coast on the 11th. January 2011 on which date they ceased to sound. – See more here.
