Andy McCarthy has been painting and working in bronze for many years. She has been involved in a large number of groups and solo shows including the RHA Summer Exhibition in Dublin and the Society of Women Artists Exhibition in London. Her work is in private collections in Ireland, Britain, America and South Africa. On Wednesday August 24th at 11 am Andy will give an informal talk on her method of working. With the aid of her sketch books and images of her work she will explain the process of preparing moulds for casting in bronze as well as how she uses sketches done on location to work up into finished paintings.
