Colin Priest: Dopey Dick is 40! [The Edge of Things #3]
Saturday 18 February 2017
CCA is delighted to present Dopey Dick is 40! by artist and academic Colin Priest. The exhibition is the third of CCA’s Spring programme of one-day exhibitions (The Edge of Things) taking place through February and March 2017.
The exhibition marks the 40th anniversary of ‘Dopey Dick’ getting lost trying to find salmon in the River Foyle. Now living in the Hebrides, Dopey Dick has been identified and is known locally as ‘Comet’. Colin Priest will assemble a special celebration for The Edge of Things with party hats, some Mendelssohn and a special tray bake to remember this venerable visitor.
Colin Priest is a London based practitioner and academic; his work seeks to enliven places through various forms of public action. www.studiocolumba.com
