In 2008 Clare Scott exhibited her solo show Road Trip, a series of paintings inspired by a month long, solitary drive in the American south west. In the decade since then her painting developed until, in the course of a degree in Visual Art and an MA in Art & Process, her work left the wall and entered the space. Still Trippin’ is a review that reworks some of those Road Trip paintings along with some subsequent works. Then using those paintings as inspiration, Scott created new pieces specifically for this show, to present a collection that reveals relationships between elements of a body of diverse work, in the process mapping a version of the journey so far.
