Charlie McConaghy: The object of time [The Edge of Things #2]
Tuesday 7 February 2017
CCA is delighted to present The object of time, a presentation by avid curio collector, storyteller and amateur historian Charlie McConaghy. The exhibition is the second of CCA’s Spring programme of one-day exhibitions (The Edge of Things) taking place through February and March 2017.
In The object of time, Charlie McConaghy presents four eclectic artefacts drawn from his vast personal collection. These objects have been separated from their context, and have subsequently been disconnected from their significance or purpose over time. During the course of the day (12noon – 6pm), Charlie will share their history, stories, and uses with visitors in a ‘show and tell’ discussion. This is a free event open to people of all ages and refreshments relating to the stories of the objects will be served.
The Edge of Things is a programme of one-day exhibitions taking place at CCA through February and March 2017, selected through an Open Call process by CCA and artist Sean Lynch.
