Architecture: A Space for Learning
Opening Reception Tuesday 11 October at 11am
A Space for Learning is an initiative of the Irish Architecture Foundation (IAF) to challenge current thinking on school design. The project involved a process of placing architects and architect graduates with students in 90 schools across Ireland to create a design for a learning space.
Ten winning architect-student teams from counties Cavan, Limerick, Louth, Cork and Dublin have created fi lms, installations, models and drawings to illustrate their ideas about learning spaces and environments, which will tour to various locations around Ireland during 2011.
A Space for Learning is funded by the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government and the Department of Education and Skills and the tour is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland.
