Anna Bunting-Branch: I am SF
Saturday 20 May 2017
Join us on 20th May at 5pm for I am SF, a lecture-performance by artist Anna Bunting-Branch with visuals, animation extracts and sound. Responding to the exhibition Scissors Cut Paper Wrap Stone – which was initiated in CCA and is currently touring to Ormston House, Limerick – this event will consider feminist science fiction with reference to three terms offered by theorist Luce Irigaray: genre, gender and genealogy. These terms will be used to think through the context and conventions of the genre of feminist SF; ideas around citation, iteration and gender; and fan activity.
