The work in this two-person exhibition is concerned with the passage of time and the interplay between light and shadow, inside and outside. Using the medium of photography, Lebeck traces the passage of time through the transforming effect of light and shadow playing over the interior of her house and the ever changing skies outside. Murphy’s fragile, transparent sculptures and installations seem to dissolve into the space they are exhibited in. The play of light is both revealing and concealing as it changes throughout the day, transforming the shape and colour of the work. The juxtaposition of the two artists’ work sets up a dialogue between containment and fluidity, weight and weightlessness, object and space.
