“Over the last four years the RHA School has invited many leading artists to give a public lecture on their work through the prism of various aspects of contemporary visual culture. The talks are available online on our website and form a rich library of voices in current Irish art making.
They feature talks by artists such as Mick O’Dea PPRHA, Alan Butler, Diana Copperwhite RHA, Niamh O’Malley, Sam Keogh, Isobel Nolan and Elaine Hoey among many others and are grouped around themes in painting, drawing, lens based and sculptural practices. Artists were asked to frame their lecture around questions such as – What role does drawing play in your work? How does the material of paint relate to the meaning of your work? What is the role of the lens in a post-lens virtual world?”
