“The Covid19 pandemic has wrought significant changes to both the shape of and the way we use and inhabit space. Much of this change is happening on a daily, if not hourly basis.
The Irish Architectural Archive has agreed to act as a repository for materials about these spatial and social shifts, from photos of new walls being built in pharmacies, to lines of tape on the floor of supermarkets, to social distancing in public space. This will act as a key repository for future architectural and social historians, scholars and researchers.
If you have photographs, drawings or notes recording these phenomena, please send them to the Irish Architectural Archive at info@iarc.ie. The IAA would like files at as high a dpi as possible, with a record of the photographer or draftsperson, location, date and any attendant notes as necessary. For photos, please send either TIFF or JPG files.”
